Very unusual Bournemouth Dept of Tourism & Publicity Card.

Bournemouth Pier Centenary H/S.

This handstamp was sponsored by Bournemouth Council in conjunction with Philatex for the week long Philatex Bournemouth Exhibition that was going on at that time...... but someone at the local Tourism Department thought it was a good idea to also use the handstamp on some Bournemouth Pier cards... and this is the result....

Although it's not a 'proper' Official, you could argue that as the joint sponsor was the local council, it does 'fit' the rules of being an 'alternative' Official.... I will leave you to decide if it's a strong enough 'fit' to call it that..
