2005 (04) Wedding - 9th April - RM - Windsor Castle CDS

Superb Royal Mail cover with the Windsor Castle CDS - Dated the 9th April.........

Because of the 8th April 2005 funeral of Pope John Paul - These stamps were only released to the General Public on the 9th April, but "Key Account" holders had them in enough time to service them with the 8th April.

Buckingham Palace and Windsor Castle serviced all their Staff 'Standing Orders' with the 8th April date, but only a very small number were done with the 9th as most of the staff were watching the actual wedding and didn't go and place any orders !

Because of the scarcity of covers with this date on the CDS, it's cat £250 as such..........
