2017 (09) Ladybird Books - Stampex Official (Stamp Issue H/S)

Superb Stampex Official - Stampex London (Stamp Issue) Handstamp - ONLY SIX PRODUCED....

Stampex - held twice yearly at the Business Design Centre in Islington, North London. Usually (but not always) Royal Mail will coincide a Stamp Launch whilst the event is on thereby encouraging collectors to visit the event and the Royal Mail stand to buy the stamps & get covers serviced by posting their covers in the special post box brought along by Royal Mail for the show.

To capitalise on this the Organisers produced an 'Official' cover & sold blanks for collectors to service their own covers. Stocks of those blanks however soon sold out (roughly around March 2010) & were never reprinted, making the unused blanks held by collectors highly desirable, especially when serviced with later issues when quantities as low as just six covers being serviced are not unusual.
